Initiating our incorporation of media room against remote control lighting !

Making the jump starting with lighting control into in-house theatres is hardly much of a conversion considering the majority of folks (including me) probably kicked off the journey for lighting control using a integrated control unit to make the super cool theatre room experience just right. We found that the Harmony controllers have turned out to be a godsend and we bought one for all of our house’s tv watching areas. When you consider that I don’t watch that ‘live’ tv thing at all, it felt like there was frequently a bunch of devices to turn on which I hated - grabbing the first clicker and then the next one until it was ready, just to repeat the method once whatever I was watching was over and done with.

With that in mind, the incorporation of items from Zwave with home theatres is becoming more realistic every week with many popular vendors releasing UHF integration from your automation system as of late and because of this you can now do things such as turning on and off a mp3 system which is at the far end of the home having just your RF home network device. So much to think about, though its described with more of a tutorial style at this site X10 home automation when compared to many Zwave blogs so it’s for sure a key site to learn from.
I love that he is entirely too eager when discussing technology.
