I’m dreaming of automatic everything

With regards to items associated with domotics I can’t resist the recent products for sale from vendors such as the Zigbee Alliance and Home Automation Inc.
Nearly all of the new devices for sale are not in reality as much of a step forward as you’d think in that they could be accomplished before utilizing other off-the-shelf stuff but now they are accessible as a organized kit. As a side benefit now you don’t need an electrical engineering degree to make it work.
Looking closer we see a lot of likenesses among the various technologies. For example, none of the offerings use battery-operated products as RF repeaters, and all the items use RF to strengthen signals. Looking deeper still, it gets complicated – I’d rather not endeavor to express it at this point and make a fool of myself, this site Insteon is better at digging into some of the discrepancies.
