My talk with Bill got me started …..

I recently saw a huge building on abc which seriously made me salivate – They were using automatic showers and had done a so-so job of putting the pieces together. It seemed like every window curtain knew what the other was doing and things like the garage doors plus the robot vacuum were talking to each other.
I’ve used Insteon for years but I had never seen a house like this, it was wicked and I want everything I saw now.
I often day dream of having the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do neat stuff such as running a bath by just asking the house to or announcing the weather for the day in the morning. Ok a bit out in the future (although some average people have made it work) nevertheless items like environment modes at the touch of a button have come down in price and inexpensive today. When I get home I will persuade the significant other...... at which point she can focus her energy on the page where I found the information: ISY-99i review

Planning the crossover points of gaming room against lighting control

Transitioning starting with automation of your home over to home entertainment shouldn’t be much of a change considering the majority of individuals likely started the exploration for control of lights via a remote control to make the super cool room-turned-theatre setup just right. Maybe it’s just me but the Harmony series of remotes have been a marvel and we now have one for all of the tv watching areas. When you consider that I don’t watch that non-PVR thing anymore, there’s always a million different entertainment systems to switch on which I hated - picking up the first clicker followed by the next until all the devices were on, just to repeat the process after our game was finished.

Speaking of remotes, the mixture of lighting control with home theatres is getting closer every time I check with quite a few of the more well known vendors offering infared commands from your powerline network now and so one can perform stuff like networking a music player which is in an adjacent room of the place using just one’s wireless house tool. Very cool overall, though it’s clarified more thoroughly here X10 switches when compared to some Zwave blogs so it is definitely a key site to read through.
The writer there is way too enthusiastic when discussing automation devices.
