My talk with Bill triggered something !

We watched this one house on HGTV which probably made me stare – The house had Zigbee and did a so-so job of putting the pieces together. It seemed like every ceiling fan knew what to do and even silly things like the gate and bathroom plasmas were part of the system.
I always liked Insteon for a long time but thinking about something like this, it was sensational and truly remarkable.
Sometimes I dream of making the current place do neat stuff like following me with music through the house or voice alerting us to someone at the door. Many things are still several years from now (regardless of this certain rich folks are doing it) still stuff such as lighting which can be changed over the internet are available and inexpensive today. This week I’m going to win over my lovely wife... following which she can blame the site that helped me learn about this stuff: ISY-99i forum

Argh, I hate crashes because of inattention!

The majority of weeks I take satisfaction in working for the man, but there are times when the traffic to work is sufficient to force me to move far away. Some people are such lousy drivers with secondary concerns of attention to the roadway. As if that wasn’t enough, what happens next? I knocked over the drink in my car as I drove in to the parkade... Sigh.
