Thoughts of Creston

It’s pretty well known that for items related to automation my wallet is at the mercy of most of the recent items produced by consortiums like SmartLabs and the Zigbee Alliance.
Some of the new devices produced shouldn’t be considered actually as big a deal as they claim because these things could all be created previously working with existing standard products but nowadays they’re available as a tidy package. One other thing is now you don’t require fluke testers around the house to get it working.

Certainly there exist quite a few likenesses between the technologies involved. For instance, few of them use portable devices as message repeaters, and it’s hard to find one that doesn’t use advanced RF in some way. Looking deeper however, things become more a bit complex – I’m not going to endeavor to outline it at this point and make a bunch of errors, a site like this X10 home automation has pages dedicated to highlighting the variations.
So anybody having thoughts for ways to bring in enough moolah to sponsor our new compulsion, for pete’s sake pass it along!
Some days, I friggin hate stop and go traffic on the way to work!

Some times I don’t hate my day job, but some days the traffic coming in is all it takes to cause me to resign. Too many sleepy sheeple with a passing interest in attention to the roadway. Making things worse, what happens next? I hit my coffee on the way into the parking stall...
So this is life.
