Kicking off my fusion of intense gaming combined with lighting control …

Transitioning from domotics to home movie rooms is not that big of a stretch bearing in mind several users (including me) almost certainly began the quest for mood lighting using a remote control to make the perception of in-house theatre setup complete. We found that the AMX remote controls are a key device and we now own one for every one of our tv’s. When you consider that I rarely watch that live programming style of watching at all, there is constantly what seemed like many things to flick on which drove me crazy grabbing the first changer followed by the next until things were setup, before we have to go backwards on the method once the movie was completed.

The other thing is, the crossover of technologies like with home theatres is inching closer by the time I check with almost all of the innovating producers releasing infrared integration from a home network now and so you can then perform events like turning on and off a mp3 system that is in an adjacent room of the house having your handheld home network device. So much to think about, although everything is explained in more of an easy to understand fashion at Insteon when contrasted against most blogs so it’s a good spot to read through.
You can tell he is dangerously eager about technology.

So many questions about automatic lights

by on Apr.08, 2009, under Home Automation, insteon, lighting control, zwave

I should let people know that for devices considered to be automation I can’t resist most of the recent stuff produced by vendors like Inc and the Zigbee Alliance.

What’s interesting is that the recent items produced shouldn’t be considered actually as novel as they would seem since they had been built before utilizing existing readily available parts but now they are available as a tidy package. One other thing is now you don’t feel like you need a 6 page schematic to understand how it works.

A deeper look shows us a few likenesses with the vendor offerings. For instance, not one of them use cordless devices as RF boosters, and nearly all devices use radio frequency to strengthen signals. Beyond this however, things get more a bit complex – Rather than endeavor to explain it myself and make a bunch of errors, there’s a site here ISY-99i has good discussions digging into any divergences.

So if you’re having thoughts on tricks to earn some moolah to fund the recent infatuation, kindly let us know!
