Talking to Frank made me fired up !

Last night was a home on holmes on homes that totally made me stare – They installed touchscreen controls and did a seriously outstanding job making it all work. Each door knew what the other was doing and get this- the gate as well as the heated floors were accessible from the controllers everywhere.
I have loved Zigbee for what seems like forever but I hadn’t even dreamed about a house like this, it was inspiring and I’m still in shock.
I’ve thought about making my house do neat stuff like adjusting the temperature for each room or announcing the weather for the day in the morning. Some of these things are a ways in the future (despite the fact that some groups could do it) on the other hand some more pragmatic goals for instance lighting control at the touch of a button have come down in price and reasonably priced now. The last step is to persuade the wife... following which she can blame the site where it all started: Z-Wave home automation
