Beginning my incorporation of intense gaming combined with home automation …..

Switching focus from automation into home cinemas is not much of a stretch bearing in mind lots of users (myself included) probably kicked off the exploration for mood lighting through a harmony remote to make the super cool movie room replica perfect. In my mind the AMX remotes have turned out to be a key device and we have one for every one of our tv sets. Since we almost never do the ‘live’ tv style of watching any more, there is almost always what seemed like many things to switch on and it I hated - using the first clicker followed by the next in line until things were setup, before we have to reverse the process after we were done.
Speaking of remotes, the commingling of automation and entertainment is getting nearer each day with quite a few of the popular companies releasing IR commands from your automation network as of late and because of this you can then do things such as controlling a mp3 system across the apartment utilizing the wireless Insteon device. I love this stuff, although things are explained in more of an easy to understand fashion here ISY-99 Insteon when contrasted against some X10 sites so it is definitely a key place to check out.
It’s great – the writer is entirely too eager when reviewing home automation.

I recently saw a killer house on the news that totally caused me to beg my wife – They had used automatic sprinklers and had done a so-so job of putting the pieces together. Nearly every door was integrated and I think even the phones plus the gazebo roof were controlled.
We’ve used Zwave for years but thinking about automation so integrated, it was inspiring and I’m still in shock.
I’ve thought about making my house do cool things such as following me with music through the house or announcing the weather for the day in the morning. Many things are a bit out in the future (although some people are in the process of it) however items such as atmosphere settings which can be changed over the internet are well within reach and reasonably priced today. This week I’m going to persuade my other half...... then she can hold responsible the site where it all started: Home automation products
