My chat with Susie got me planning …

There was a house on one of the HD channels that totally caused me to beg my wife – The house had X10 and did a pretty decent job of the implementation. It seemed like every ceiling fan was integrated and I think even the gate plus the shower steam generator were eerily controlled.

I’ve used Zwave for forever but I had never seen a dream house like this, it was sensational and I want everything I saw now.
We talk about making where we’re living more automated so it can like turning on the shower in the morning or checking our grocery list for items we’re missing. Some of this stuff is still several years in terms of general accessibility (despite the fact that certain rich folks have made it work) though stuff for example environment modes for different moods or events are ubiquitous and inexpensive this year. When I get home I will win over my lovely wife...... then she can hold responsible the place that helped me learn about this stuff: Home automation products

Scoping our crossover points of intense gaming against house automation …..

by on Sep.30, 2009, under Home Automation, insteon, lighting control, zwave

Switching focus from domotics over into in-house theatres isn’t much of a change considering the majority of people probably started the quest for lighting via a integrated control unit to make the full home theatre replica perfect. Personally the Harmony series of controllers have turned out to be a marvel and we own one for all of our house’s tv’s. Especially since we never watch that non-PVR style of watching at all, it seems there’s perpetually a ton of devices to switch on which wasted my time using the first remote followed by the next one until all the devices were on, before we have to repeat the procedure after our game was over and done with.

Luxyry home entrance

The other thing is, the crossover of automation with our ‘relaxing’ technologies is getting more real by the day with most innovating vendors selling infrared transmit and receive from a domotics network as of late and because of this anyone with an interest can do stuff we couldn’t do before like turning on and off a tuner which could be clear across the home with only the handheld Zwave device. Many possibilities, though everything is described more completely here X10 switches than most review sites so it is definitely a good place which simplifies things amazingly well.
You can tell he is borderline psychotic when discussing this stuff.
