Chatting with Joe made me fired up !

I recently saw this one house on extreme home makeover that totally caused me to drool – They had used X10 and did a decent job of putting the pieces together. Almost every overhead light knew what the rest of the house was doing and I didn’t see this coming but the dishwasher plus the heated floors were controlled by the house.
I’ve been excited by X10 for years but I’d never seen systems like this, it was crazy and truly remarkable.
I always talk about making our home more automated so it can such as turning on the shower in the morning or checking our grocery list for items we’re missing. maybe some stuff is a bit out from now (it should be noted that some groups are in the process of it) though things for instance lighting control for different moods or events are ubiquitous and easy(er) on the pocket this year. I really should persuade the significant other... after which she can focus her energy on the page that got me started on all this: X10 home automation

Every once in a while, I really dislike traffic jams on the way in!

There are weeks I don’t mind my day job, but every so often the traffic coming in is reason enough to cause me not to show up. One in three are drowsy motorists and barely any concentration to driving. To top it off, I spilled my tea as I drove into the garage...
Blah.

Beginning my merger of home theatre with remote control lights !
by on Sep.22, 2009, under Home Automation, insteon, lighting control, zwave
Transitioning from domotics over into home movie rooms isn’t that big of a stretch bearing in mind lots of individuals probably started their journey for control of lights using a harmony remote to make the entire theatre room setup complete. Personally the AMX clickers are a key device and we now use one for all of our house’s tv sets. Since I almost never do the ‘live’ tv style of watching anymore, there is constantly a million different things to flick on and it wasted my time grabbing one control and then the next in line until it was ready, before we have to go backwards on the procedure after whatever I was watching was finished.

The other thing is, the mixture of lighting control with entertainment is becoming more realistic every day with some of the more popular companies prototyping IR management from a home system recently and because of this you can then do stuff we couldn’t do before like switching the station of a radio that’s across the apartment using just your remote Insteon tool. Neat stuff, although it is clarified in more detail at Z-Wave home automation when contrasted against many sites so it’s for sure a good location to read through.
It’s apparent that he is way too enthusiastic about this stuff.
Reminder: buy Creston

With regards to things associated with home automation I’m a big fan of any new products available through consortiums like the Z-Wave alliance and the Zigbee Alliance.
Nearly all of the new devices available are not actually as new as they appear due to the fact that this stuff had been created before utilizing available readily available items but for those starting out they’re accessible as a nice set. That and you won’t feel like you need an electrical engineering degree to figure it out.

Looking closer we see several similarities with the product lineups. One such similarity, not one of the technologies use cordless devices as message boosters, and it seems like all use radio waves in some capacity. Digging deeper though, it gets complicated – I’m not going to venture to outline it now and make a fool of myself, this place Insteon iPhone has good discussions analyzing any differences.
So anybody having good ideas for ways for me to earn a bit of cash to pay for my new obsession, don’t hesitate to let us know!
Some days, I despise pileups on my route!
by on Sep.21, 2009, under Home Automation, insteon, lighting control, zwave
There are times I don’t mind the day job, but sometimes the trip coming in is reason enough to cause me to quit. There are stupid drivers coupled with barely any thoughts to driving. Adding to this, I then knocked over the drink in my car just as I pulled in to the parkade...
Another day another dollar.
