How frustrating, I can’t stand 2 hour delays that make me late!

Most weeks I take satisfaction in my job, but every so often the trip to work is enough to make me want to go back to bed. A million horrible people driving coupled with secondary concerns of concentration to driving. To top it off, I then hit my tea making my way into the parking garage...
Another day another dollar.

I need X10

It’s pretty well known that for things associated with house automation I really like recent items created through consortiums such as SmartLabs and the Zigbee Alliance.
The thing is these recent items created shouldn’t be considered in reality as new as they appear due to the fact that they had been created through other means working with available standard products but nowadays they’re presented as a clean little kit. As a side benefit these kits don’t require a 6 page schematic to set things up.

A few comparisons show us a lot of likenesses among the technologies involved. For example, none of them use cordless devices as message relays, and it seems like all use RF one way or another. Beyond this still, things get a bit complex – I’d rather not struggle to describe it now and make a bunch of errors, a site like this Zwave vs Insteon does a good job of evaluating the differentiators.
Now anyone with good ideas for ways to pull together a bit of moolah to sponsor the recent obsession, for pete’s sake share!
