A commercial got me started .

There was a home on HGTV which almost made me want to copy it – They installed touchscreen controls and performed a pretty decent job of the implementation. It seemed like every overhead light was part of the automation and even the dog door plus the arcade room were controlled.
I have loved X10 for a long time but I had never seen a house like this, it was sensational and I’m still in shock.
Sometimes I dream of letting the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do cool things like adjusting the temperature for each room or voice alerting us to someone at the door. Some of these things are a bit out in terms of general accessibility (although some people in the forums have made it work) still more realistic things for instance atmosphere settings that can be remotely controlled are available and inexpensive lately. I think I need to plead my case to my lovely wife- at which point she can focus her energy on the link that helped me learn about this stuff: ISY-99i forum

Who loves home automation toys

As with all technologies considered to be home automation my wallet is at the mercy of some of the new devices produced by places such as Power Control Systems and Power Control Systems.
What’s interesting is that these recent items produced are not in reality as novel as they would seem seeing as they has been created other ways utilizing other readily available parts but instead now they are available as a prebuilt kit. Another perk is these kits don’t require a 6 page schematic to make it work.

Upon closer inspection there are numerous similarities among the product lineups. As an example, none of them use battery-operated products as message boosters, and nearly all devices use radio frequency one way or another. When investigating further though, it becomes involved – Rather than venture to describe it myself and mess it up, this site ISY-99i forum does a good job of highlighting some of the variations.
That said if you’re having any visions regarding ways to bring in a bit of cash to pay for the latest dependence, comment below and pass it along!
