Just like many devices associated with house automation I watch pretty carefully any of the recent releases for sale through companies such as the Z-Wave alliance and Power Control Systems.

Nearly all of the recent items for sale aren’t so much as much of a movement as one would imagine seeing as they could be done previously working with currently accessible basic component items but for beginners they are presented as a nice kit. As a side benefit you won’t need a 6 page schematic to set things up.

Certainly there exist a few correlations between the vendor offerings. As an example, none of the technologies use battery-operated products as signal relays, and it seems like all use wireless communication someway.
