I need Z-Wave

Just like many devices associated with house automation I watch pretty carefully any of the recent releases for sale through companies such as the Z-Wave alliance and Power Control Systems.
Nearly all of the recent items for sale aren’t so much as much of a movement as one would imagine seeing as they could be done previously working with currently accessible basic component items but for beginners they are presented as a nice kit. As a side benefit you won’t need a 6 page schematic to set things up.

Certainly there exist a few correlations between the vendor offerings. As an example, none of the technologies use battery-operated products as signal relays, and it seems like all use wireless communication someway. With other differences however, things get more involved – Rather than attempt to describe it now and make mistakes, there’s a site here ISY-99i forum has pages dedicated to showcasing any divergences.
So if anyone has any visions for ways for me to make a bit of cash to sponsor our new habit, please let me know!

With regards to technologies associated with home of the future type stuff I pay a lot of attention to all the new stuff produced by places such as the Zigbee Alliance and the Zigbee Alliance.
Some of the latest products produced aren’t actually as as much of a movement as one would imagine due to the fact that this stuff has been built through other means utilizing currently accessible basic stuff but instead now they are offered as a clean little set. That and now you don’t require fluke testers around the house to get it working.

Looking closer we see a few correlations among the various technologies. For instance, almost none of the technologies use handheld remote products as RF repeaters, and all the items use radio frequency as a backup. With other differences still, it gets more complicated – Rather than attempt to portray it now and make a fool of myself, there’s a site here ISY-99 Insteon has pages dedicated to talking about any differences.
Now anyone with any thoughts relating to ways to pull together sufficient funds to sponsor my recent infatuation, please pass it along!
