Scoping our inclusion of intense gaming with remote control lights !

Branching out starting with domotics into home theatres is not that much of a change taking into account lots of people (not counting us) probably started their quest for perfect ambiance through a remote to make the uber-cool home theatre replica just right. Maybe it’s just me but the Logitech Harmony remotes have turned out to be a miracle and we now use one for virtually all of our tv’s. Since we never watch that non-PVR thing any more, it seems there’s almost always at least a couple receivers and the like to turn on and it made me so frustrated picking up the first changer followed by the next in line until things were setup, just to repeat the procedure once whatever I was watching was finished.

While smart remotes are here now, the crossover of technologies like Insteon with our ‘relaxing’ technologies is getting closer every time I check with many respected home automation places offering infared transmit and receive from your powerline system now and so you can now do events like commanding a music player that is in an adjacent room of the house having one’s handheld Zwave tool. There’s a ton to learn, though its illustrated more completely at this Insteon site Insteon iPhone when contrasted against most places so it’s a good site which won’t make you feel dumb.
It’s great – the writer is almost scarily passionate when reviewing this stuff.
