I recently saw a home on abc that seriously made me stare – It was crazy home automation and had done a seriously outstanding job of putting the pieces together. It seemed like every thing that possibly could could be controlled and things like the litter boxes as well as the shower steam generator were fully integrated.
I have loved lighting control for forever but seeing a house like this, it was inspiring and truly remarkable.
Sometimes I dream of letting my house do cool things like running a bath by just asking the house to or reminding us of obligations as we leave the house. Many things are most realistically a couple years in the future (although there are people that could do it) though things like lighting for different moods or events are ubiquitous and inexpensive this year. The last step is to convince the lady writing the cheques... then I’m sure she’ll just love the link that got me interested: X10 home automation
