Moving starting with domotics over to home entertainment isn’t that much of a transition bearing in mind the majority of people (including me) probably kicked off the curiosity for mood lighting via a integrated control unit to make the super cool movie room setup just right. With that in mind, the merger of lighting control with home theatres is inching nearer every time I check with quite a few popular vendors releasing infrared integration from your home automation network now and as a result one can now do actions we couldn’t do before like commanding a radio that’s across the condo using one’s RF automation device. Very cool overall, although the details are illustrated more completely at Insteon vs X10 than some Insteon blogs so it’s absolutely a key spot which won’t make you feel dumb.
