My talk with Bill got me planning …

We watched a wicked place on HGTV which seriously made me want to copy it – It was crazy Zigbee and performed a seriously outstanding job of the implementation. Each ceiling fan knew what the other was doing and things like the phones plus the robot vacuum were talking to each other.
I had been curious about the clapper for what seems like forever but I had never seen something like this, it was inspiring and I want everything I saw now.
I always talk about having the current place do cool things like announcing caller ID anywhere in the house or voice alerting us to someone at the door. Some of these things are still several years from now (although certain rich folks have made it work) still more realistic things such as lighting which can be changed over the internet should be locally available and reasonably priced lately. This week I’m going to sway my lovely wife... at which point I’m sure she’ll just love the site that helped me learn about this stuff: Zwave products
