Two weeks ago a killer house on that show after Lost which seriously made me salivate – Everywhere they had installed Zigbee and had done a seriously outstanding job of putting the pieces together. Almost every ceiling fan could be controlled and even silly things like the fridge (including ice maker) plus the heated floors were eerily controlled.
I have loved Insteon for forever but seeing something like this, it was inspiring and truly remarkable.
I always talk about having the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do cool things such as adjusting the temperature for each room or checking our grocery list for items we’re missing. I’ll admit some stuff is a bit out from now (regardless of this some people in the forums are doing it) despite this more practical items for example lighting for different moods or events should be locally available and easy(er) on the pocket today. The last step is to plead my case to the wife... after which she can hold responsible the link that helped me learn about this stuff: Home automation products
