As with all devices related to domotics I really like some of the recent devices available by companies like SmartLabs and the Z-Wave alliance.
Nearly all of these latest devices available shouldn’t be considered in reality as revolutionary as evolutionary in that this stuff likely had been created other ways working with available standard parts but nowadays they are presented as a tidy package. That and you won’t feel like you need an electrical engineering degree to make it work.
A few comparisons show us a lot of likenesses among the product lineups. For example, few of the technologies use cordless devices as RF boosters, and almost all products use RF as a backup. With other differences still, things get a bit complex – Rather than venture to outline it myself and mess it up, this place ISY-99 has good discussions showcasing some of the differences.
That said if anyone has good ideas relating to ways for me to pull together some money to fund the recent addiction, for pete’s sake help me out!
