We watched a wicked place on the news which seriously made my jaw drop – It was crazy X10 and had done a seriously outstanding job making it all work. Almost every light and fan knew what the rest of the house was doing and I think even the dog door plus the shower steam generator were accessible from the controllers everywhere.
I had been curious about lighting control for forever but I had never seen a dream house like this, it was crazy and I’m still in shock.
We talk about making our house more automated so it can like running a bath by just asking the house to or voice alerting us to someone at the door. I’ll admit some stuff is still pretty far in the future (despite the fact that some average people have made it work) still stuff for example atmosphere settings for parties or relaxing should be locally available and reasonably priced today. The last step is to win over the lady writing the cheques... following which she can focus her energy on the site where I found the information: Zwave devices
