There was this one house on the discovery channel which seriously made me want to copy it – It was crazy automatic sprinklers and performed a seriously outstanding job making it all work. Every sprinkler was integrated and get this- the car starters as well as the gazebo roof were controlled.
I always liked X10 for years but I’d never seen a dream house like this, it was inspiring and I’m still in shock.
We talk about letting the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do fancy tasks like running a bath by just asking the house to or displaying the news in the bathroom mirror. Some of these things are still several years in terms of general accessibility (regardless of this some people are doing it) but some more pragmatic goals for instance lighting for parties or relaxing should be locally available and inexpensive today.
