Who loves automatic everything

I should let people know that for devices associated with home automation I’m a big fan of recent devices being announced through vendors like Home Automation Inc and the Zigbee Alliance.
Almost all of these latest products being announced shouldn’t be considered in reality as new as they appear since this stuff has been built other ways using other basic component devices but now they’re available as a tidy kit. That and these kits don’t require an electrical engineering degree to set things up.

There are many likenesses with the product lineups. One such similarity, almost none of the technologies use cordless devices as RF repeaters, and almost all products use advanced RF as a backup. When investigating further however, things get interesting – I’d rather not try to outline it now and mess it up, this place Zwave lighting has pages dedicated to showcasing some of the divergences.
So if anyone has any thoughts on tricks to bring in enough money to make up for my new habit, please pass it along!
