Last night was a house on abc that seriously made me stare – Everywhere they had installed Zigbee and had done a excellent job setting things up. Nearly every overhead light knew what the other was doing and even the bath tubs and bathroom plasmas were accessible from the many panels in the house.
I always liked basic home automation for ages but I’d never seen automation of this level, it was wicked and I want everything I saw now.
I always talk about letting my place do fancy tasks like running a bath by just asking the house to or voice alerting us to someone at the door. Many things are still pretty far from now (it should be noted that there are people that could do it) nonetheless stuff like environment modes for different moods or events have come down in price and easy(er) on the pocket now. This week I’m going to convince my other half... at which point she can focus her energy on the place that helped me learn about this stuff: X10 home automation
