With regards to technologies related to home automation I really like any new devices created by companies like SmartLabs and SmartLabs.
Nearly all of these recent devices created aren’t really as big a deal as they claim since these things could be built before using other off-the-shelf items but for beginners they are available as a tidy package. As a side benefit now you don’t need a 6 page schematic to set things up.
A deeper look shows us a lot of parallels amongst the vendor offerings. For instance, few of the technologies use battery-operated devices as signal boosters, and almost all products use advanced RF in some capacity. Digging deeper though, it gets more a bit complex – I’d rather not try to outline it at this point and make a fool of myself, this place Insteon home automation is better at evaluating some of the contrast points.
