Chatting with Joe made me fired up …..

Last night was a killer house on that show after Lost which probably caused me to beg my wife – The house had automatic sprinklers and had done a seriously outstanding job of the implementation. Nearly every light and fan was part of the automation and even the phones plus the gazebo roof were part of the system.
I had been curious about Insteon for what seems like forever but we’d not attempted systems like this, it was amazing and I’m still in shock.
We talk about letting where we’re living do neat stuff along the lines of announcing caller ID anywhere in the house or announcing the weather for the day in the morning. Although these situations are a bit out in the future (despite the fact that some average people could do it) though some more pragmatic goals for example music that can be remotely controlled have come down in price and easy(er) on the pocket today. In order to make this happen I need to plead my case to my lovely wife- then she can hold responsible the site that helped me learn about this stuff: Insteon Controller
