We watched a killer house on the discovery channel which seriously made me salivate – They installed speech recognition and did a thorough job of the implementation. Every kitchen appliance had a remote control and even the dishwasher as well as the bathroom plasmas were controlled by the house.
We’ve used devices for controlling lights for what seems like forever but I had never seen something like this, it was wicked and I’m still in shock.
Sometimes I dream of letting where we’re living more automated so it can along the lines of adjusting the temperature for each room or displaying the news in the bathroom mirror. Many things are most realistically a couple years in the future (although some people in the forums have done it) on the other hand some more pragmatic goals for example lighting at the touch of a button have come down in price and inexpensive today.
