My conversation with Ted triggered something

Last night was this one house on that house makeover show which almost caused me to drool – It was crazy motorized plasmas in the kitchen and did a pretty decent job making it all work. Close to every fireplace could be controlled and I think even the litter boxes as well as the heated floors were fully integrated.
I’ve used devices for controlling lights for years but we’d not attempted automation of this level, it was wicked and truly remarkable.
I’ve thought about making the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do cool things like turning on the shower in the morning or displaying the news in the bathroom mirror. Although these situations are most realistically a couple years in the future (despite the fact that some houses have done it) nonetheless items like lighting control which respond to your moods are ubiquitous and reasonably priced today. I think I need to convince the wife... at which point she can focus her energy on the place that got me started on all this: Zwave devices
