I recently saw a killer house on EHM which probably made me salivate – Everywhere they had installed automatic sprinklers and performed a really fantastic job of having it be impressive. Every kitchen appliance knew what to do and get this- the outside sprinklers as well as the bathroom plasmas were fully integrated.
I’ve been excited by basic home automation for forever but seeing something this advanced, it was inspiring and I’m still in shock.
We talk about letting the superhome that we live in (slight exageration) do fancy tasks like following me with music through the house or voice alerting us to someone at the door. I’ll admit some stuff is a ways in terms of general accessibility (regardless of this certain rich folks have made it work) nevertheless more practical items for instance lighting control which respond to your moods are well within reach and economical today. When I get home I will convince the significant other... after which I’m sure she’ll just love the link where it all started: Zwave lighting
