My chat with Susie made me think
by on Sep.11, 2009, under Home Automation, insteon, lighting control, zwave
We watched a sweet house on that show after Lost which seriously made me stare – The house had domotics and had done a so-so job of the implementation. It seemed like every sprinkler had a remote control and stuff like the outside sprinklers as well as the bathroom plasmas were fully integrated.
I’ve been a fan of basic home automation for forever but I hadn’t even dreamed about something this advanced, it was amazing and I’m still in shock.
I often day dream of letting our house do fancy tasks such as turning on the shower in the morning or announcing the weather for the day in the morning. Many things are a bit out in the future (although some people in the forums are doing it) on the other hand stuff like lighting for different moods or events are well within reach and easy(er) on the pocket lately. I think I need to persuade my financial advisor... then she can blame the link where it all started: Zwave vs Insteon
