Two weeks ago this mansion on that house makeover show which seriously made me salivate – They were using whole-home automation and performed a pretty decent job of the implementation. Each light had a remote control and amazingly the gate as well as the hot tub were fully integrated.
I had been curious about basic home automation for a long time but we’d not attempted a dream house like this, it was sensational and truly remarkable.
Sometimes I dream of letting the house do neat stuff along the lines of adjusting the temperature for each room or reminding us of obligations as we leave the house. Many things are a bit out in the future (regardless of this some people have done it) but items for example music that can be remotely controlled are well within reach and economical recently. One more thing to do: persuade the wife... at which point she can hold responsible the page where it all started: Z-Wave home automation
