With regards to devices associated with house automation I watch pretty carefully any new devices for sale through companies like Power Control Systems and SmartLabs.
It should be noted that the new products for sale aren’t in reality as as much of a movement as one would imagine due to the fact that they had been accomplished other ways utilizing existing off-the-shelf stuff but for beginners they’re offered as a clean little set. As a side benefit these kits don’t feel like you need a 6 page schematic to get it working.
A few comparisons show us several correlations between the vendor offerings. For example, not one of the product lineups use portable products as message boosters, and nearly all devices use wireless communication in some capacity.
