Planning our merger of theatre rooms against remote control lights …..

Transitioning starting with automation of your home to home entertainment is hardly that big of a transition considering many people (not counting us) probably started their journey for perfect ambiance using a integrated control unit to make the entire movie theatre setup perfect. Personally the Harmony series of clickers are a marvel and we purchased one for each one of the tv’s. Since we almost never do the live programming thing any more, it felt like there was perpetually so many items to switch on and it I hated - using one changer followed by the subsequent one until things were setup, only to reverse the procedure after the movie was over and done with.

The other thing is, the combination of technologies like Insteon and entertainment is moving nearer every day with most of the respected vendors making infrared control from a home network now and so anyone with an interest can now perform actions like controlling a music player that is across the home utilizing just your remote Zwave controls. Many possibilities, although the details are clarified more completely here Insteon switches than some review sites so it’s absolutely a good spot to see.
I love that he is borderline psychotic when reviewing this stuff.
