With regards to technologies associated with automation I really like recent devices coming out through vendors such as the Z-Wave alliance and the Z-Wave alliance.
It should be noted that the recent products coming out are not in reality as revolutionary as evolutionary seeing as these things could all be done before utilizing existing standard products but nowadays they are offered as a clean little kit. That and now you don’t require a complicated circuit diagram to figure it out.
Looking closer we see a few similarities among the various technologies. For instance, few of the product lineups use cordless devices as signal relays, and it’s hard to find one that doesn’t use radio frequency in some capacity.
