Thoughts of remote control lights

Just like many devices considered to be home of the future type stuff my wallet is at the mercy of most of the recent stuff being announced by consortiums such as the Zigbee Alliance and Power Control Systems.
It should be noted that the recent items being announced are not so much new as they appear in that this stuff was done through other means working with currently accessible basic items but for beginners they are available as a prebuilt kit. That and these kits don’t require an electrical engineering degree to make it work.

Certainly there exist numerous similarities with the product lineups. For instance, few of them use portable items as signal relays, and it’s hard to find one that doesn’t use RF in some way. With other differences however, things become a bit complex – I could attempt to explain it here and make mistakes, this place Zwave products does a good job of evaluating any differentiators.
So if you’re having thoughts regarding how I can make enough moolah to sponsor the new dependence, please share!
