Who loves Insteon

It’s pretty well known that for items considered to be automation my wallet is at the mercy of some of the recent products available by companies like Home Automation Inc and the Z-Wave alliance.
The thing is the recent items available aren’t so much new as they appear due to the fact that they could all be built previously working with currently accessible standard products but for those starting out they’re available as a prebuilt package. That and you won’t feel like you need a 6 page schematic to understand how it works.
Upon closer inspection there are numerous resemblances between the brands. For instance, almost none of the product lineups use cordless devices as RF repeaters, and nearly all devices use radio frequency in some capacity. Beyond this still, things become more complicated – I’d rather not venture to explain it here and make a fool of myself, there’s a site here Home automation products is better at talking about any differences.
That said if you’re having any visions relating to methods to earn a bit of funds to make up for the latest obsession, for pete’s sake let me know!
