I should let people know that for items considered to be automation my wallet is at the mercy of the new items available from places such as the Zigbee Alliance and the Zigbee Alliance.
Some of these new products available aren’t really as big a deal as they claim seeing as these things was created before working with existing standard stuff but for beginners they are offered as a clean little set. One other thing is these kits don’t need a complicated circuit diagram to figure it out.

There are several similarities among the vendor offerings. As an example, not one of the product lineups use portable products as RF relays, and it seems like all use radio waves in some way. Looking deeper though, things become complicated – I’m not going to venture to express it here and explain things poorly, this site Insteon Controller does a good job of talking about any differences.
