Last night was a huge building on the discovery channel which literally made me salivate – It was crazy motorized drapes and performed a seriously outstanding job setting things up. Every sprinkler knew what the rest of the house was doing and I think even the garage doors as well as the hot tub were controlled.
We’ve gotten a kick out of Insteon for a long time but we’d not attempted automation so integrated, it was crazy and I’m still in shock.
I’ve thought about making where we’re living do neat stuff along the lines of following me with music through the house or displaying the news in the bathroom mirror. Many things are still several years in the future (it should be noted that some groups are in the process of it) nonetheless things for example music for different moods or events should be locally available and affordable today. I really should persuade the wife... then I’m sure she’ll just love the site that got me interested: ISY-99i forum
