Last night was a home on one of the HD channels that totally made me salivate – They had used Insteon and performed a pretty decent job of putting the pieces together. Each door had a remote control and amazingly the car starters as well as the heated floors were accessible from the many panels in the house.
I’ve been excited by X10 for a long time but I had never seen something this advanced, it was crazy and truly remarkable.
I always talk about having our house do cool things like running a bath by just asking the house to or voice alerting us to someone at the door. Many things are still pretty far in terms of general accessibility (although some groups are doing it) nonetheless more realistic things like atmosphere settings that can be remotely controlled should be locally available and inexpensive lately. I think I need to win over my other half...... following which she can focus her energy on the place which made me interested in the first place: ISY-99 Insteon
