Talking with Mike got me planning !

Last night was this mansion on the news which seriously made me salivate – It was crazy home automation and had done a seriously outstanding job of putting the pieces together. Almost every fireplace was thinking on its own and even the litter boxes as well as the gazebo roof were fully integrated.
My wife and I have liked basic home automation for what seems like forever but I had never seen something like this, it was crazy and I want everything I saw now.
I often day dream of having my house do neat stuff like announcing caller ID anywhere in the house or reminding us of obligations as we leave the house. Some of this stuff is still several years in terms of general accessibility (it should be noted that some groups have done it) despite this more realistic things for example lighting and music that can be remotely controlled are well within reach and affordable now. In order to make this happen I need to persuade my other half... then I’m sure she’ll just love the place that got me started on all this: ISY-99 Insteon
