Chatting with Joe made me think …

Last night was a wicked place on that show after Lost which seriously made me stare – The house had Zigbee and performed a decent job making it all work. Close to every ceiling fan was thinking on its own and even things like the gate and hot tub were talking to each other.
I’ve been a fan of Insteon for years but seeing systems like this, it was crazy and I’m still in shock.
I often day dream of having our home do fancy tasks along the lines of announcing caller ID anywhere in the house or displaying the news in the bathroom mirror. Although these situations are still pretty far in the future (although some houses have done it) however more practical items such as lighting at the touch of a button are well within reach and inexpensive this year. When I get home I will win over my financial advisor... at which point she can focus her energy on the place that helped me learn about this stuff: ISY-99i
