As with all items associated with domotics I really like any recent devices created from companies like SmartLabs and Power Control Systems.
What’s interesting is that the latest items created are not really as big a deal as they claim in that these things had been accomplished before working with other standard devices but for beginners they are available as a clean little package. As a side benefit you won’t need an electrical engineering degree to figure it out.
A few comparisons show us many likenesses among the various technologies. For instance, none of the product lineups use cordless products as RF boosters, and it seems like all use RF as a backup. Beyond this though, it becomes more complicated – I could attempt to outline it at this point and make a bunch of errors, there’s a site here Home automation iPhone is better at talking about the differentiators.
