I’m dreaming of home automation toys

As with all devices associated with home of the future type stuff I’m a big fan of most of the recent releases created by places like SmartLabs and SmartLabs.
What’s interesting is that the recent items created aren’t really as much of a step forward as you’d think since these things could be done other ways utilizing existing basic devices but for those starting out they’re presented as a organized package. That and you won’t feel like you need an electrical engineering degree to figure it out.

Upon closer inspection there are quite a few correlations among the vendor offerings. As an example, none of the product lineups use handheld remote items as message relays, and they all use radio frequency someway. Beyond this though, things get more a bit complex – I’d rather not try to portray it at this point and make mistakes, a site like this Insteon Controller is better at talking about any differences.

That said anybody having thoughts regarding ways for me to earn a bit of cash to sponsor our recent obsession, comment below and pass it along!
